Network Marketing Doesn’t Work

My return from Never Never Land!

No, I’m not Peter Pan. In my case never never land refers to my vow to never get involved in network marketing again! But 30 years later I’m back.

It’s a common tale shared by a lot of people. Maybe you’re one of them. Does any of this sound familiar?

My wife and I got involved in a network marketing opportunity over 30 years ago. We were totally committed to making it work. And we did work very hard at it for a couple of years.

Like most people who get involved in network marketing, we quickly ran out of contacts on our “warm” list.

I then started looking at everyone I met as a prospect, setting up face-to-face meetings and showing the plan.

The fact is we had a small degree of success. But we could never crack the code to make it into the really big money. The kind of income that was always held up as a carrot.

Our “team” was very shaky, the attrition rate very high, and the whole thing just didn’t go anywhere.

The frustration grew and we eventually quit the business, deciding that network marketing wasn’t for us.

At that time we moved across the country so it was a logical time to make a change.

Although I wasn’t successful in the network marketing business, I had an entrepreneurial spirit and started a couple of different businesses and achieved a certain level of success.

Recently someone I know quite well got involved in an opportunity. She dropped a few hints about what she was doing, but didn’t approach me directly for over a year. Eventually though, I gave her an opening by asking her what she was so excited about.

Interestingly, she did not give me a proper presentation, and although she continually encouraged me to come out to the meetings, I resisted. I had a really bad taste in my mouth from my past experience in mlm. I told her that I was not interested in a business where I needed to approach my family, friends and acquaintances, and attend weekly rallies and meetings.

Her comment was that, given my experience on the internet, I could build the business mostly online.

This was an intriguing concept, something I hadn’t really considered. But a concept that definitely appealed to me. The only thing is, she didn’t give me any guidance on how to go about it, because it was not something she was doing. Her approach was the “old school” method of recruiting I had rejected all those years ago.

I started doing some research and found that there were a number of established tools and strategies for attracting qualified leads using the internet. They seemed viable. My research also revealed an opportunity that was much better suited to a mostly online approach.

I know from my previous experience that very few people are actually willing to take the necessary action to change their situation, even though they might complain about all the things that make them sound like ideal prospects. Things like lack of money, hating their job, retirement funds disappearing, debt payments that outstrip their income, lack of time, and on and on.

The key to success in this online marketing business is to be able to target and talk to the right people. And those are prospects who are either in the network marketing business in one capacity or another already, or are actively seeking an opportunity or at the very least are doing some investigations about possibilities.

Being able to talk to those people clears one major hurdle.

I continued to investigate many different online tools and websites for generating leads.

One site was head and shoulders above the rest in terms of its total package. And that site is CarbonCopyPro. Nothing else seemed to come close in terms of a turnkey solution for anyone interested in marketing their products or services online.

If you’ve been trying to figure out how to effectively market online, whether it’s a bricks and mortar business or online, whether it`s a traditional type of business or a network marketing business, do yourself a massive favor and check it out.

It could be the turning point you’ve been looking for.

Qualified MLM Leads

If you’re in network marketing and have gone the route of buying leads, you know it’s true: Nothing is more frustrating than getting thousands of worthless leads.

It’s a complete waste of both time and money because those leads are not “qualified”. That is, they are not tied to you in any way shape or form. So a call from you is meaningless.

Yet so many people are still doing it!

The reason is simple. They don’t know of any other way to get leads.

They’ve gone through their “warm” list, so feel they need to buy leads so they have prospects to talk to. Even some trainers are still encouraging their reps to pursue this approach!

Does this sound like you?

Here’s a different scenario

Picture this. You use an online system that engages potential prospects, lets them know something about you, establishes you as an established leader in their eyes, and brands you as someone they can respect and learn from.

Imagine calling someone who is in that frame of mind. Someone who is expecting your call, who knows your name, and wants to hear from you! Do you think you’ll have a better chance of connecting with that person?

The answer is obvious.

Would that make a difference to your ability to pick up the phone? Would it be easier to discuss your opportunity?

Do you think your results might be dramatically different?

And the real beauty of it is, the strategy can be taught. You don’t have to be a computer or internet expert. A series of step-by-step videos walk you through the process.

Once you know the system you can teach it to your down line so they can enjoy the same success.

Here’s the reality check

Does it take some work? Yes, there is work involved. In fact, if you’re looking for an “easy” way to generate qualified leads, I’ll tell you right now that there isn’t one, in spite of the thousands of promises floating around on the internet.

To make this work takes some effort. But for those willing to put the effort in, the payback can be phenomenal. And the reality is that some methods are easier or better than others!
